Past Board of Trustees Members

Dr. Solomon Mwangi 1996-2013

He is the founder of Edumed Trust. A firm believer in practical Christianity, he felt an obligation to respond to the plight of bright needy students and has since mentored many.

An engineer by profession, he is the Managing Director of Comac Limited, a construction company based in Nairobi, Kenya and remains a strong supporter and partner of Edumed Trust.

Mr. Boniface Musembi 2003-2010

A lawyer by profession and a Partner at B. M. Mutie & Co. Advocates, Boniface served Edumed for many years, being instrumental in offering legal advice which he continues to do.

He has served on the boards of various organizations. He remains a
dedicated partner.

Rev. Martin Mbandu 1996-2009

He retired as Edumed Board of Trustee's Founding Chairman in December 2009 after a long, illustrious and fruitful service to the Trust. We were blessed to have him and continue to be encouraged by his dedication for many years.

The many times he traveled, many miles (from Kisumu) to attend Edumed meetings and other activities in Nairobi, will forever be appreciated. Rev Mbandu left to pursue mission work in Malawi but continues to support the trust as a partner.

Mrs. Jean Ojiambo 2001-2009

She retired from the Board of Trustees in December 2009 after a truly dedicated service.

Jean joined and supported Edumed when it was in its infancy and was involved at the Trust’s foundational stage. Jean works with an International Non Governmental Organisation.

Past Executive Board Members

Mrs. Jane Gitao 2007-2011

She served in the inaugural Executive Board and retired in 2011 after a fruitful service. Jane, a director of North & South Travel Agency Ltd, continues to support the trust as a dedicated partner.

Leah Kamau 2007-2010

She served in the inaugural Executive Board with dedication and retired in 2010 due to other responsibilities. She is a director of Mountain View School, a privately owned educational institution.  

Ruth Goro 2007-2009

She was a pioneer member of the Executive Board where she served diligently, and as a strategic management consultant, offered valuable insights on strategic direction.
